Race, Colour and National or Ethnic Origin:

These three grounds are related, and it is often difficult to draw clear distinctions between them. They are intended to get at the societal problem frequently referred to as "racism".

It should be noted that citizenship and language per se are not prohibited grounds of discrimination under the Act.
