
Legislating Against Age Discrimination in B.C.

B.C. amends the Fair Employment Practices Act to prohibit discrimination
on account of age. It is the first age discrimination provision passed
in Canada.
The act protects every person between the age of 45 and 65 years old
from being discriminated against in employment as a consequence of his
or her age.
